§ 01 Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the Atlas Wayfinder ("the Wayfinder", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you visit our pages, plot a route and play a record. By using the Wayfinder you agree to the practices described below.

§ 02 Information We Collect

• Usage Data · anonymous page views, navigation paths and route click patterns used to improve the index.
• Device Data · browser type, screen size, operating system and language for compatibility purposes.
• URL Parameters · campaign tags such as gclid, user_id and app_instance_id passed through from external links.
• Local Storage · a small site cache that remembers the active compass theme variant and image tag.

We do not knowingly collect personal identification information from children under 13. The Wayfinder does not require an account or password to plot or play.

§ 03 Use of Information

Collected information is used to operate the compass, remember your theme preference, measure aggregate traffic and surface relevant routes. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

§ 04 Cookies and Local Storage

The Wayfinder uses a small site_cache localStorage entry that stores compass theme and tag preferences only. Third party advertising or analytics networks may set their own cookies or pixels when their content loads inside an ad slot; those networks are governed by their own privacy practices.

§ 05 Third Party Services

• Ad Networks · deliver ads inside designated compass slots and may use cookies or device identifiers to do so.
• Analytics · aggregate, anonymous traffic measurement if enabled on the deployment.
• Game Sources · playable routes hosted on our public CDN; no personal data is sent to the original developer unless you play the record.

§ 06 Children

The Wayfinder is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact the cartographer team so we can remove it.

§ 07 Your Rights

You may request a copy of any data we have stored about your visits, ask us to delete it, or opt out of personalised ad measurement. Because we do not require accounts, most requests are handled by clearing your browser storage.

§ 08 Changes

This policy may be updated as the index grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" stamp above. Continued use of the Wayfinder after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
